"Clean Air to Spring" Systems
In corrosive marine atmospheres, the biggest contributing factor to Actuator failure is salt laden air entering the spring chamber of a spring return actuator during its cycle, corroding the cylinder bore which in turn damages the seals.
Ascendant Technologies can provide its complete range of pneumatic Actuators fitted with “Clean air to Spring” systems which utilise the clean air from the pneumatic stroke to equalise the pressure in the spring chamber, with the unused air to be exhausted through a Check Valve.
This feature can be incorporated into a complete assembled and tested automation assembly and integrated with all other necessary controls to ensure compatibility.
